New Home, New Inspiration, New Art

Alfina

I haven’t posted any­thing in what seems like an absolute age, my excuse is that i’ve been busy mov­ing house…in fact mov­ing coun­tries, so as you can imag­ine i have had tons to do. Any­way much to my delight, i’ve been able to start draw­ing again in a new space with plenty of light, peace and quiet.

I am being called to expand on the mate­ri­als that i use within my work, so with that comes a fair bit of exper­i­men­ta­tion and lots of play, the above piece ‘Alfina’ was cre­ated with graphite, acrylics, ink, and art pens, i used a fair bit of gold ink in this piece which hope­fully you can see in the sec­ond shot. Due to this inner call­ing for cre­ative expan­sion, over time you will find my work takes on a new direc­tion, although of course i will return occa­sion­ally to sim­ple graphite por­trai­ture, i can’t wait to share with you some of the cre­ative ideas/inspirations that i’ve been jot­ting down in my art jour­nal over the past cou­ple of months.

I am also very excited to be attend­ing my first Art Fair in Rye on Octo­ber 8th, i will be sell­ing some pre­cious orig­i­nals of mine, ‘Alfina’ included, plus A4 prints and Art Greet­ing Cards of my work, do pop in if you’re in the area, entry to the fair is free and of course i’d love to meet you.
