Today i went and picked up 4 originals of my work after having them mounted at a local framers. I am over the moon with the result and can’t wait to have them on display at the Rye Art and Crafts Fair this coming weekend. The piece shown here ‘In a World of My Own’ is my most recent work. If the others i had mounted don’t go to nice homes this weekend then i’ll be posting those up too for you all to see.
Miss Penelope Sparkles was created from lots of play. I’m exploring new materials at the moment, seeing how i can mix my love for graphite portraiture with acrylics, inks, pen and lovely sparkly things like Swarovski Crystals. She was created on Mount board so all she needs is a little hook on the back and she’ll hang flush to the wall. I tried my best to capture her brilliance here, but of course she’s way more beautiful in the flesh, the Swarovski Crystals along with the gold acrylics giving her a very cool 3d effect. She’ll soon be available to purchase in my Etsy Shop.
